JOB SUMMARY:
Online ad sales position for fast growing Chicago-based new media business. Ideal candidate will be knowledgeable of online ad sales or internet advertising industry and be willing to prospect businesses via telephone and close sales in person with Owners/C-Level executives of local/regional businesses and agencies.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Drive outside sales efforts by calling on active Chicagoland advertisers in select verticals
• Sell the value and vision of our platform to key decision makers (not just program/price)
• Meet and exceed aggressive sales targets
• Leverage Business Development team's strategic efforts by closing targeted accounts in select verticals and geographic regions
• Manage Sales Assistants and work collaboratively to prospect ideal leads and close sales
• Prospect and present to local/regional prospects on an aggressive schedule - 5-10 appointments per day
• Enter sales activity and update Account/Opportunity information and produce weekly sales reports and forecasts in firm’s vertically integrated SalesForce.com application
• Manage specific territories
• Participate in industry networking events and represent firm at local industry events
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
• Demonstrable track record of sales success with superior closing ratios and sales growth
• Knowledge of online ad industry a must, from either buy side or sell-side.
• Knowledge of Real Estate industry a plus
• Experience with salesforce.com a plus
• Ability to articulate future business opportunities within your territory
• Passion for working in a fast pace, exciting environment
• Exceptional sales, public speaking, and presentation skills
• Excellent teamwork mindset and strong ethics
CREDENTIALS AND EXPERIENCE
• Bachelors Degree in related field
• Minimum 3 years relevant sales experience
• Proven phone skills and strong interpersonal skills
