Description:

SPSS Inc. currently seeks a Marketing Communications Writer in our Chicago headquarters. This position is responsible for implementing the external communication strategy of SPSS Inc. through the development of a variety of communication materials. These include direct response campaigns of all kinds, collateral, white papers, Web content, case studies, advertising and more.

Responsibilities:

• Lead development and write all types of direct response materials and packages—both printed and electronic.
• Lead development and write additional types of communication materials including collateral, Web content, white papers and case studies
• Participate in the development of SPSS’ external communication strategy
• Collaborate in developing appropriate messaging and positioning for the company’s products and services
• Develop targeted communications materials for use by SPSS offices
• Act as project lead

Requirements include:

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Journalism or related field from a four-year accredited college/university
• Minimum of four years related direct and other marketing experience, preferably with a high-tech focus
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility to handle multiple projects as well as prioritize and meet deadlines
