Web Developer

Small web and graphic design firm is seeking a web developer to join our Maryland based office team. Candidate will be responsible for handling multiple projects including small-scale website projects including, E-commerce, database management and web maintenance.

Candidates must be adept at interacting with account managers, clients, co-workers, and fast-paced environment. We’re searching for a confident and detail-oriented professional who knows how to prioritize to insure projects are delivered on time and on budget. The ideal person will demonstrate a passion for delivering work that meets the highest degree of quality and excellence.

Responsibilites:
• Responsible for web layout and programming
• Managing database web applications
• Search Engine Optimization

Requirements:
• At least 2 years experience in website design, development, analysis and maintenance
• Working understanding of common interactive tools and techniques such as MYSQL databases design/development, browser compatibility
• Programming skills in HTML, CSS, .NET, PHP, MySQL, Databases
• Proficient in open source content management systems and e-commerce
• Proficient knowledge of design related applications such as PhotoShop, Flash and Dream Weaver
• Advanced experience with HTML, CSS, java Script, PHP, ASP would be an added value
• Excellent communication skills
• Highly organized and extremely proactive with collaborative disposition
• Fluent in information architecture
• Passion for solving problems; enjoys the challenge of developing appropriate solutions
• Excellent portfolio samples demonstrating strong eye for design and layout; magazine layout samples preferred
• Strong knowledge of principles of graphic and visual design
• Must know and understand the principles of layout, including grid concepts, typography, photography, and placement of copy and logos
